OUR LIFE - Mah ..

Definitely Danielle Luchetti has taken for a ride, into believing that the anthem of the film is "fragile Soul" by Vasco Rossi, as he probably had in mind, turning it, "Long live Italy " by Francesco de Gregori.
Because, apparently, this should be the story of a man in love and family man who loses his Trabzon after a family tragedy, and then found the strength to go forward for the sake of the children ... but, in fact, three quarters of the film it comes to trouble all avoidable with a little common sense and buildings to be constructed due to contradictory misdeeds "typical" of the Bel Paese ... and in the end you do not understand where it all will going.
And so, "in Italy robbed and shot in the heart ", "Italy murdered by newspapers and cement ", " Italy that is desperate, who falls in love with Italy, the ' half Italian and half luck duty ", the director moves the always good (even very good) Elio Germano, who gives body and soul to one of the most stupid movie of our house.
Sorry for the harsh criticism that some of the intense interpretation Germano did not deserve, but not just the skill of an actor to make a good film and especially to make a believable character in which, on balance, no one wants to identify himself.
shit really bad or not, and this already takes away the charm.
No, the protagonist is just a little 'simple-minded and understand from the outset that the only positive side is that he loves his children, but despite this, just make shit for the duration of the film.

THE ROAD - en route to the future


“Quando si svegliava in mezzo ai boschi nel buio e nel freddo della notte allungava la mano per toccare il bambino che gli dormiva accanto. Notti più buie del buio e giorni uno più grigio di quello appena passato. Come l’inizio di un freddo glaucoma che offuscava il mondo...”
Questo l'incipit letterario di The Road, di Cormac McCarthy, che ben rende, nella sua essenza, anche l'atmosfera di ansia e di gelo di questa trasposizione cinematografica.
Un'ansia e un gelo assolutamente funzionali e coerenti alla durezza della storia narrata, che ci restituiscono faithfully touching the vise that holds body and soul in the winter of post-catastrophic photographed by McCarthy in his book.
Throughout the film are inevitable tension and chill creep upon us, along the back and in my mind, because the plot involves an exhausting journey and a constant struggle for survival of a father and a son struggling with a ' humanity in which the good guys you count on your fingers and "bad" practice in real life the worst nightmare a company can implement ...
But as the horror facing the scene, the director shows us just enough to make us harpooning the arm of the chair for a while. He does not care push on the accelerator of the macabre beyond the threshold of tolerable (risk that has been able to avoid with great sobriety and rigor) rather to ensure that the viewer sees only what the characters see themselves and at the same time, sometimes very fast.
So our empathy and our involvement are more complete and less obscured our ability to intuit that more than gray and fear there's something very deep rooted in the intensity of this history and its players and deserves a vision to the movies.
To avoid spoilers as much as possible, I will say that the message of hope, which many say there is heredity: that good che lasciamo alle generazioni future non va sprecato e anzi viene assorbito più di quanto noi stessi crediamo possibile e addirittura migliorato.
Davvero l'allievo supera il maestro e le colpe dei padri non ricadono sui figli, ma anzi trovano riscatto nello sguardo puro di un bambino.
Nota di merito per la bravura del “vecchio” Viggo Mortensen e del giovane Kodi Smit-McPhee... E nota di demerito per la distribuzione italiana che ha catapultato in piena primavera un film così prettamente invernale. Non lasciate che questo vi scoraggi. Buona visione.
